WHY I STARTED KAYA ROSE?
Ever since I was a child, I have been aware of how amazing plants can be and the ways they can benefit the skin. But it wasn't until years later and a huge psoriasis flare up, that I started to investigate these botanical benefits further.
Unfortunatly, many of the products given to help these conditions are full of steroids and other harmful chemicals. These can have their own negative side effects.
In my hunt to soothe my sensitive skin and psoriasis, I became captivated by plant powered skincare.
However, I used to struggle to find natural products that didn't contain any water, preservatives, fragrance or some type of filler ingredient. I also couldn't afford to buy any good quality skincare as it was so expensive.
I wondered if I could create something for myself to solve these problems. So, using the best quality ingredients (organic as much as possible) and the spare time I suddenly had in lock down. I began to formulate my products.
I wanted to create a natural skincare solution that not only feels luxurious to use, but also nourishes and protects skin at the same time. I also tried to keep the price of my products as affordable as possible, and we provide minis of most of our products. This allows you to try the product before committing to the full size!
Me and my sister suffer from psoriasis, and lots of people I care about suffer from psoriasis, eczema or other skin conditions. I know from my personal experience, they can have a massive impact on your life, self-esteem and confidence. I would love to help people gain their confidence back and feel happy in their own skin.
The name came about as 'Kaya' is my middle name, 'Rose' is my younger sisters. My sister is my inspiration for starting this company... she gave me the courage to develop my idea into what it is today! She also encouraged me to look after myself more.
She helped me see that self-care comes in many different ways: mental, physical and emotional.
I would love to help people embrace their natural beauty through the use of natural products. At the same time focusing on how even small moments of self-care can drastically improve your mental and physical health.
✨All of our products have been officially certified by a Qualified Cosmetic Safety Assessor, this requires a PIF (Product Information File) and a CPSR (Cosmetic Product Safety Report). They are also all registered with the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS).✨
WHY NATURAL?
I wanted to make sure the ingredients used in the products are sourced as sustainably as possible.
My suppliers help the communities that provide the ingredients and provide a fair wage and working environment.
I wanted to help people understand the products they are using, the ingredients they contain and the many benefits they have. This is why all my ingredients' lists have the English translations so, you can easily see what they contain. Each product also contains a list of the ingredients and why I chose them. Each ingredient serves a purpose!
Natural skincare can be confusing, especially if you are new to it.
Many labels state they are 'natural and organic' but the actual percentage is very low. To be as honest as possible, each of my product labels state the percentage of organic ingredients used; all of them are 100% natural.

Looking after the planet is just as important as looking after your skin!
Therefore, the packaging is all refillable, recyclable or reusable.
HOW?
By combining pure, natural, organic plant powered ingredients together, I saw how beneficial they are for the skin.
This encouraged me to start creating a range of products that could help people get healthy glowing skin naturally.
I wanted to create something that everyone could use, so all my products are available unscented.
Therefore, even those with the most sensitive skin can use them, they are also all gender and age neutral.
After a long time, full of many testers and reviews from friends and family...
After trying and testing different techniques... and sending them all off for official testing... I am excited to finally able to share it with you all!
